Floods Frenzy...

Yesterday we went to the charity shop in Coleraine where Jonny & Julie's Dad were doing deliveries and her Mum was working. As we did deliveries the rain was bouncing down and fields were becoming waterlogged. We were about to go to my Mum's in Belfast, when she rang and said the roads were too bad. I thought my Mum was being a bit dramatic...that was until I saw the news!

The Westlink, probably the biggest area of roads in N. Ireland, was under 20 million gallons of water!!! An underpass is completely filled up and there are at least 5 cars under the 20-some feet of water.

This is insane...but it leads me to think on the flood that we read about in the Bible, in Genesis. Our pastor today reminded us that the flood was to cleanse the world of the sin of man, as it was displeasing to God. As Christians we can be thankful that God sent, not a flood, but His Son to cleanse the world of sin, if we have faith in Him, and follow Him. Praise God!
