A Day at the Coast...

Yesterday after church, we went to visit our friends Catherine and Simon, and their little boy Thomas. Catherine is also nearing the date to give birth to their second child, so we made a visit to their house near the east coast of N. Ireland. We went for a drive by the coast and it was amazing (albeit cold!) view of a really gorgeous part of our wee country.

At long, long last...

We finally got sitting down with Mark and Rachel, and tore into a kebab! If you check Jonny's plate you can see the size of the very tasty, but potential heart-attack inducing, meal that we talked about for a year. Unfortunately now we have smelled of garlic for three days - oh the joys!

Getting Accustomed...

Last night we had our first dive afresh into our food cravings...Jonny had an Indian and Julie had a kebab! Unfortunately our systems aren't really used to our previous way of life, and ended up with really smelly breath, pores leaking of garlic and Jonny taking an antacid! Oh the joys...

So better to get back on the horse and have another kebab with our best friends Mark and Rach tonight!

God really blessed our club, through the whole time of the holiday Bible club nearly 100 kids, and 45 of their parents gave their lives to the Lord. Just when we thought we were of no use to God, and we couldn't speak the language, and found everything difficult...God came through. We serve an amazing God.

Team Time...

We were so priviledged to have a team from our home church join us for our last two weeks in Mexico, and to help us with our luggage! We learned a lot from our time together and really felt like part of the team. They really blessed the missionaries, the church and the Mexican people and God really used them for His glory.

A BBQ in N. Ireland?

We had a party when we came back with a BBQ at Laura and Ash's house. It was a great time with Julie's family and lots of burgers! Even our dogs managed to get in on the action. Thanks everyone for coming!

Getting Used to the Food...

This mess was actually a piece of every dessert that was brought to our "Welcome Home" BBQ. Having Banoffe Pie, Pavlova, Raspberry Bake and Cheesecake on the one plate is one way to shock your body into eating home cooking again!!
